Week of June 8, 2015

We played go fish with our word wall words.

We made some amazing farm books!

We rainbow wrote our word wall words.

Since reading groups ended, we have been doing literacy centers.  There are 4 centers for students to rotate through.  The centers are read to self, read to a buddy, listening, and word work.

Mrs. Andrew's class came to visit.  We were able to read with our kindergarten buddies and give them a tour of our classroom.

Field Trip to MMU

We had so much fun on our field trip.  They did a fabulous job performing their readers's theaters and it was so exciting to read with high schoolers!

Wrapping Up The School Year

We created a dairy farm on our bulletin board.  You should check it out! Next week, we will have a special guest coming in to do a farm craft with us.

The students in Ms. Henault's, Ms. Graf's, and Mrs. Nelson's reading groups had a celebration on the last day.  We had two reader's theaters, a performance, and one group made tarts!

We are busying editing, revising, and publishing a favorite poem.  Students will present these at our Publishing party next Friday.  Families are invited to come listen to our Popsicle and poetry reading party!

We have finished our last math unit!  Math books will be coming home today.
