Here is our video convincing you to visit Jericho! This video incorporates our social studies unit (Community) and writing unit (Persuasive Writing). Students worked with buddies to create their picture, write their sentence, and used the app Puppet Pal to create their project.

Too Busy!
We have been so busy in first grade! I am sorry I haven't posted in awhile. We had a class celebration last week. Students played games and did puzzles together!
You need to check out our new bulletin board. We created snowmen that are inspired by the book Snowmen at Night.
We have been working on collecting data and creating representations. Students worked with buddies to write their own survey question, ask the whole class, and create their own representation. They also had to reflect on the information they collected.
Students practiced coding using the Light Bot app. Children all over the world participated in the Hour of Code event.
We have been practicing reading and writing words that use -ing, -ang, -ong, -ung, -Ink, -ank, -onk, and unk.
