Artists at Work

We made snowmen today!  We used pencils, sharpies, and watercolors to create our snowmen.  They will be out on our bulletin board, if you would like to check them out!

Reading Log

Good Morning!
There will be no reading log this week.  The reason there is no reading log this week is because I was out yesterday for science committee and because Monday was a snow day!

Rainbow Writing and Snowflake Fun!

We practiced reading and writing our Word Wall words by writing them in rainbow colors!  This a fun way to practice sight words at home!

We celebrated meeting our classroom "paws" points goal by creating snowflakes for our classroom windows. We have been focusing on being kind to others. When we started putting them on the window it started to snow outside!

We will be having a whole school "paws" points celebration on Friday.  Each class will be playing games in their classrooms for the first 30 minutes of school.  Students are invited to bring in their favorite board game to play with the class!

Science!

We started our first science unit this week about force and motion.  We went for a force and motion walk yesterday.  We have also watched some video clips and read a book about force and motion.  As a class, we came up with definitions for force and motion.  Here are the video clips if you want to check them out:
