Exploding Seeds

We are finishing up our Organisms science unit.  As part of our science unit we learned about how different plants move their seeds to survive.  Students really enjoyed this video about exploding seeds!

Discontinued Reading Logs

I am going to stop sending home reading logs. I hope that students will continue to read at home and share their love of books with all of you!  Thank you for all your support in your student's education.

Our Last Four Winds!

We had our last Four Winds this week and it was about honey bees!  Thank you to the moms who came in to teach us and to ALL the parents that came in this year!

We have been learning about organisms in science.  The whole class spent time researching bears with Mrs. Burroughs.  They used books and a video to collect their research.  The focus of the research was to learn how bear parents take care of baby bears.  Students used this information to create their own electronic book.  As a class, we worked together to cite the resources that were used.
